Yokohama Banner

Today's block is Yokohama Banner, and it turned out GREAT! I am so thrilled about this block. I was horrified by the calendar's color scheme, and I always find 5 different fabrics in one block difficult to coordinate. So I went with my very favorite color combo - black and white and red all over!

I hope everyone had a fantastic Thanksgiving...mine started with the sun rising behind Mount Rainier over Puget Sound and just got better after that.

Your color combo is so much better than theirs. I like the way the black and white dots seem to melt into the red & black print and look like lace or something. The effect is stunning, and your block doesn't even look like theirs because of the colors you used.
Happy Thanksgiving

I know I came to your blog late, but I think this is the nicest block I've seen you do.

It's nice to have a day when the mountain is out, isn't it?

Ohh, I like your color selections much better too.

Have you considered contacting the calendar company and offering to work for them?

Or at least give them some design advice. :D
