Still, consider the alternative! Ha!
In the time that I was not doing my impression of a beached whale on the couch, I added some quilting to the next UFO, my Baltimore Album. The quilt blocks are only about 6", so it moves through the machine very easily. Which does nothing to explain why this quilt pre-dates my marriage. This quilt is older than my house. I started it when I got Electric Quilt for Christmas and my fiance went TDY. In 2004!
Fast forward to present, and I now have a newer sewing machine and quite a bit more quilting knowledge. I can no longer stand this quilt, but I don't want it lingering in my house. So I'm going to quilt it, bind it...and then what? Any ideas?
Leave 'em in the comments, I can check email from the couch.

A blog giveaway? A donation the next time a non-quilter asks for something for their EGC (extremely good cause) fundraiser? A gift for someone?
Brenda gave loads of good ideas. Some quilt guilds have silent auctions for good causes. Just had to say I think it's lovely!
Look at you, all "finishin' shit".
Show off.
I'm with them...a nice charity auction or blog giveaway...
Mom
A good charity giveaway definitely.
I have an idea, you could send it to me!!! I am not a charity but I love your quilt and your blog. Sometimes when you are finished with a project that you fall out of love with you have a spark of "love" return.
I think you should present it to John Waters and the city of Baltimore at the annual Baltimore Film Festival. Perhaps it could be used as a prop in Forrest Gump 2: Gump Again starring Kevin Nealon.
The last two UFO's I made myself finish were destined for charity because I didn't like them anymore. By the time they were done I was back in love with them again. Maybe the quilting will make the quilt sing for you.
It is beautiful, and maybe when you are finished making it, you will fall in love with it all over again. Otherwise, send it to me!
Thank GOD you left socks. I'm not a knitter and I have been oh so ready to see your quilt work. Socks you can buy. Thanks
Quilts you can buy too... lol
I kinda like it too, the quilt, I mean. You could save it for Christmas, since there's so much red and green in it, and use it for a card table cover or something? Wrap it around your tree stand?
